During my senior year of high school, we were given an assignment to select a song that most encompassed our being. The song I chose: “The Wedding March.” My fellow classmates were asked to write the words that came to mind when they heard that song and thought about me. They chose: girly, proper, bubbly, optimistic, romantic, and triumphant. Even to this day, I would still pick this song and would like to think those words would remain the same. Needless to say, I knew I was made for this industry early on.

Although I was born and raised in the Midwest, I have always felt as though I was southern at heart. Becoming an alumna of the University of South Carolina solidified my love for all things Southern. After planning weddings and events all over the country – from Brooklyn to Sonoma, back to Newport, RI, down to Miami, and even working at the London 2012 Olympics, I decided to settle down in the Lowcountry to become a full time wedding coordinator.

When I first moved to Charleston in 2015, after spending a year out in Wine Country, I decided to create a wedding blog where I would share stories of the things I had learned, pictures from the events I had planned and advice for any future brides. That, my friends, was the birth of The Petal Report. It started out as a hobby and soon became my child. This sweet blog of mine has now been a full time, wedding consulting firm for over five years serving clients all over the Lowcountry. Specializing in wedding design, social media platforms, and coordination logistics, I am looking forward to putting my skills to good use creating one of a kind events and organic content for clients and couples alike. Reach out today and let’s start creating something #petalworthy!
